Getting to Know Merry Go Learn

Overview

Founded by alumni from IIT-Delhi and IIM-Calcutta, and now comprising of a team of well-qualified facilitators, we at Merry Go Learn are committed to improving the quality of mainstream education in the country, and believe that the hands-on method involving "learning by doing" is the most effective way for a child to imbibe concepts and values, in every subject. We aim at improving the quality of education through a unique "involvement oriented" learning approach that enables students to build concepts, communication skills and confidence. To achieve this, we develop, in-house, activities/projects/experiments in the subjects of communication, math, science, knowledge (social studies) and life-skills to best deliver the same. These are tailored to the CBSE/ICSE school curriculum. Our aim is to strengthen core concepts and pique the curiosity of the students so that their learning can be maximised. For instance, to understand the conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy, the students build their own rubber-band powered boat, which involve challenges such as it must cover a certain minimum distance. We deliver Newton's laws of motion and air pressure by assisting the students to build a balloon-powered car. While covering the topic on energy, we encourage the actual construction of a solar cooker by the students, and to actually cook their own 'maggi' in it. We are currently across 5 locations in Bangalore and have received an overwhelming response from parents and students. We conduct full year programs, summer camps, and winter camps to cover a spectrum of topics. We also conduct and prepare students for Trinity College UK certification.
